I’m from Iran, a beautiful country with a diverse culture and rich history. However the country comes with its limitations which made me want to move out from an early age to explore different ways of living and get to know different cultures. So I moved out to the Netherlands on my own at the age of 19, while I hadn’t set foot in Europe before that.
This was the most scary and thrilling decision of my life that brought me much joy and many different opportunities. I was lucky enough to have supportive parents who helped me through my journey, and that’t why I don’t take it for granted at all. I now am grateful for the life that I have and the diverse environment around me with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
I’m currently in my last year of studying Creative Business in Utrecht. Before my study I was not so sure of what particular field interests me most as for my career choices. But during this extensive study of a mix between business and marketing, I realised how much I enjoy marketing as it requires both critical and creative thinking and has a good balance of using your logic and creativity.
I always like to have a slow start to my day so I make sure to wake up early enough to have time to myself before starting the day. I either read a bit in bed, watch some videos of my favourite creators, or take the time to do some yoga and wind down. Yoga helps me tremendously with being mindful throughout my day and be present in everything I do.
Main thing that helps me unwind is nature. It may sound quite obvious but I’m pretty sure we all take nature for granted sometimes and don’t pay as much attention to it as it surrounds us so beautifully and in such harmony. To unwind, I simply get out of my house and either take long walks, bike around, go further out from the city and enjoy the quietness.
